Technologies

At Light4Life, technological innovation and evolution are at the heart of our mission to provide clean energy solutions. Since our inception, we have continuously improved and adapted our technologies based on field experiences and user feedback to better meet the needs of our end users.

Solar Charging Station (SCS) The Solar Charging Station is designed for communities who cannot afford even basic kerosene lamps or candles. It features 5 solar panels with capacities of 50 to 80 peak watts (Wp) and 50 LED solar lanterns, providing 5 to 6 hours of lighting daily. These lanterns are rented out to households or small shops on a daily or monthly basis, creating livelihood opportunities for local entrepreneurs. The SCS is versatile, allowing users to hire lanterns as needed and pay only for what they use.

Solar Micro Grid (SMG) The Solar Micro Grid consists of centralized photovoltaic power panels that provide electricity to 50-80 households or shops in a clustered area. It supports 2 light points and a mobile charging facility, delivering 4 to 5 hours of clean lighting. This modular and flexible solution can be scaled up as needed, making it ideal for clustered rural communities.

Solar Home Lighting System (SHLS) The Solar Home Lighting System is an independent installation tailored to meet the specific lighting and energy needs of households and small shops. It includes a solar panel and supports two to three light points, along with a mobile charging facility. Users can customize the system by adding a small solar fan or television based on their energy requirements. This system is perfect for isolated rural areas that are not served by a solar micro grid.

Integrated Domestic Energy Systems (IDES) The IDES is a hybrid system that combines the features of the SHLS with a clean cooking solution. It includes a solar panel, two light points, a mobile charging facility, and a forced draft improved cook stove. Designed to tackle indoor air pollution, the IDES reduces emissions by 30% and provides 4 hours of cooking time daily. The cook stove is adapted to local materials and usage patterns, addressing both lighting and cooking needs in a single solution.
